I disagree with that article. Cars like the early M cars would have had earlier hydraulic systems. Last time I checked, they were the benchmark in road feel.

And he is right, BMW has yet to prove they can make a good EPS system. The only one that was sort of decent was the E85, but that was really only because it was light. So yeah, you should be able to see why people are hesitant towards EPS. Especially in an M-Car.
