If I put in a tank of E85, the DME using the flex fuel hardware will make adjustments in real time (adjusting fueling, timing, etc) to the Stg 1 93 Oct map to produce more HP/TQ. This map is clearly not optimized for E85, but what will be the percentage increase in HP/TQ with E85 in the tank while running this map? 10% increase? 20% increase? : ...
I can't answer specifically for this platform but on my SS I gained about 75hp going from 91 octane to E70 without the meth and 1 additional psi. That's about 15% or so. Just make sure you have enough fueling hardware to deliver E85. I would guess that on the S55 you could gain even more because you'll be able to add even more boost where with my setup I only pullied down to add 1 additional PSI.

EDIT: I could easily pulley down more to add a few more PSI and probably another 10% hp. E85 does wonders compared to traditional 91/93.

EDIT 2: Plus having the ability to flex really makes it awesome. If I want to take a road trip and get better gas mileage or if I just can't get E, I can easily throw some 91 in. I really can't think of a downside of a flex tune. If you don't like it, you just fill up with regular 91/93 and go on your merry way.
Good to hear. A quick google search reveals the necessary flex fuel hardware is a $300-$350 problem. Which is not bad to have the ability to put E85 in the tank and then 91/93 oct, letting the DME make the adjustments on the fly as the ethanol content changes with different fuel ups. I would like to see the flex fuel hardware install to see just how DIY'able it might be though...
