Yupp, then only a few years until they start to weep fluid then. These shocks are pricey. What do people do?
If you switch to coilovers or non adaptive shocks. you get that light. What's the work around that? |
The sealing on adaptive dampers is typically much better than normal dampers. They are much more expensive to make AND replace, and warranty costs add up quickly. IMO, cost of replacement shouldn't be a reason to avoid getting them on a car. Magneride dampers, like what's on Corvettes, on the other hand, have big problems with leaks and weeping because the fluid itself is abrasive. But most solenoid valve based dampers do not.
