I'm still curious though - what is this "base plate in center console for snap-in adapter integration" that comes as part of the Enhanced Bluetooth package? It's a snap in adapter..for what? Just to hold the phone in place?
I'm also not sure what the electrical connection in the center console is for (not the USB or Aux, but the one behind the phone cradle) if it has nothing to do with wireless charging. I appreciate your help.

A baseplate is a base to snap an adapter in for your particular phone if available -the snap in.
There is an OEM wireless charger available as an accessory. Apparently it is installed by removing the baseplate and plugging it into the same baseplate connectors. Just search for it or ask your dealer.
