Not to me, at least not compared to the iDrive 4 and iDrive 5 main menus. I nearly always drove with the map showing because the main menu was so useless and unattractive. Now I drive with Entertainment Details, ConnectedDrive (showing weather) and Navigation displayed. That's a LOT more useful information.

We were actually able to navigate fine today using the active tile (and the HUD, of course). We still had more information than if we'd had Entertainment Details in the Split Screen view.

It looks exactly like iDrive 4. I suspect it just fails because of the lack of hardware to support gestures and touch and drops to the lowest level interface available to it.
