I ran 2:08 in a stock C7 (non-Z06) (except carbotechs and SRF) on a very hot day (mid 90's), I would expect the Z06 to be significantly faster.

Also, it's only one test, but the Z06 DESTROYED the M4 at the lightning lap.

Was the Z06 you drove a Z07 package car or a non-Z07 package car?
That's a very respectable time mate especially in that heat!

You are right my mistake meant c6, sorry about the confusion. Meant to write current gen m3 can run with yester gen z06 and Gt3; maybe a tad off but in typical track day setting be very much in the same league meaning you won't be blown away nor will you blow by.

No vir info but at summit clocked 1:22 in a stock gt3 running behind a z06 both had track pads and pilot cup tires. Neck to neck where the gt3 could put the power down corvette would make it up with slight edge in power. Patryk (he has a white dct camber plated and running re71 staggered on 18s) Put in 22 at summit main.

At a nasa event I saw a current gen z06 pull a 1:18 stock then a 1:17 on Hoosier.

New z06 is in a different league and as fast as a mclaren 650. It will DESTROY the m4 yes.

Cheers
