great write up. i've had to deal with that stupid spring on my e92 and needed to bring it to my friend's shop to get it back on even though i was always so close to lining everything up while being upside down and on my back on the floor mats.
i wish i could "test drive" this pedal to experience what you are describing which all sounds really positive. i would definitely have to pay someone to install this for me as i know i'd get frustrated with that spring again. got me thinking.
