My best was cross threading a header bolt on my old Ram 1500. I didn't realize the issue until the bolt was halfway into the aluminum head, so I jerry rigged it with about 6 washers to secure it in place so I wouldn't damage the threads any further.
I'm sure that I've had "extra" bolts left over after other installs too, but that just equates to weight savings so it doesn't really count  |
Hahaha yes! I almost had a bolt left over after this very install, but finally saw/recalled the very back spot for it.
