Midway through an event yesterday I replaced my semi-worn PFC11 front pads with fresh DS3.12's. The rear pads (PFC 11s) still had lots of material and didn't need to be replaced. Back on the track I noticed a marked increase in initial bite which put the car off balance if I wasn’t gentle. I’m worried that I shifted the brake bias to the front. Is it clear that the strong initial bite is due to the aggressive nature of the DS3.12 compound? Or, I am just experiencing a normal reduction in pedal travel/knockback from having fresh pads? The brakes are stock except for giros, racing brake pistons/seals and removed dust shields.
