To be fair though, there are some dealerships near me that do this for customer cars even before delivery. They offered it to on my 335 thinking I would love it and was surprised when I turned them down.
As well, there are plenty of people who hear something once and don't remeber the details when it comes to their car. My brother in law is still convinced his 750 is a V12 because the dealer told him so. A count of the cylinders wouldn't even change his mind.
