IMHO, heat transfer won't play much of a difference in this area. OEM (plastic) and silicone don't heat up as quickly as aluminum.

The silicone (5 layer) doesn't swell much, if at all during dyno sessions. Also a much easier install than aluminum with little to no variances for a perfect fit.
