Have purchased some secondhand F3x HK under-seat woofers via USA to use the enclosures and maybe some subjective A/B testing between HK and replacement drivers of choice. Looking likely to have 150w RMS / 300w @ 4 ohms on tap if amp / DSP combo comes together. Either way , can drive the HK 8 ohm units to mechanical limits or most 4 ohm aftermarket choices to potential power limits.
Have also ordered a set of secondhand HK door speaker covers for mid bass and tweeters via UK. They look far more acoustically open than base audio / hifi covers.
These will arrive in Feb.
Otherwise , have run tracer wire for power amp feeds. At this stage dicing between single box multi channel solution with sub woofer channel or run old class d subwoofer amp from previous build.
