Agree that it’s totaled. And as you said, it doesn’t matter anyway because either it’s totaled or you won’t see it again until the lease is up - at that point your dealer might as well pick it up directly from the body shop.
that second scenario actually happened to me - car didn’t get stolen, but it got stripped where it was parked with 3 months left on the lease. My dealer flatbedded it to their body shop, told me they would pull ahead the rest of the lease, so we went to their showroom and picked out a new car. Never saw the first car again. I hope your dealer makes your experience as easy.
