Not that I would have mattered in this case, but yes, you can have BMW track the car even if GPS tracking is turned off. Need to file a police report, then call BMW with the VIN, police report #, and your BMW connected password. They can help you/the police find it instantly at that point, but filing a police report obviously takes time so there is no instantaneous answer via the BMW connected app if they disable tracking via iDrive after taking the car. |
I did do that and they were able to help but it was after the car was apparently crashed, lol
