Having come from a GT3 and a heavily modified 987 Cayman R, and having recently driven the new Cayman S on road & track, I have to admit, the Cayman's are strong performers, but have their short comings: stock brakes and suspension set up needs upgrading to get the most out of the handling. Performance and engine capacity is clearly held back by Porsche vs. the 911. Once you add the options, pricing on the Cayman GTS is over the top high and very close to the 911.

Even with a heavily modified Cayman R or stock Cayman S, you still have to wind the car up to high rpm's to get strong acceleration and by this point you're way over the speed limit...this car needs 400+hp for me to consider it again.

Looking forward to feeling the low down torque and everyday usability of an M4. Hopefully, I won't be disappointed with the switch!
