OK, I moved to the other side and was able to make the adjustment and put the spacer in place in about 30 minutes. The threads were somewhat gritty feeling, but I had WD-40 in there and it moved. I'm going to look at the rears now. I don't know what to think about the first side. The strut may have to come out.
