OP I was in the same boat about 3 months ago. I picked up a 2015 M4, and after 6 months I traded it in for a low mileage e92 M3. Best decisions I've ever made. The size, steering feel, noise, the more raw feeling is amazing in the e92, and although the m4 is more comfortable and torque nothing beats the more involving feel of the M3 and the v8 revving to 8400 I absolutely love it. If you don't care for the upgraded idrive system, heads up display, tech, etc and are looking for a more raw, involving, and in my opinion a better drivers car I would recommend going for a e92 and keep it forever, that's what I did and there hasn't been a day were I've felt like I made a mistake.
