They are darker than I thought they'd be as well. But the photos I posted above were taken in the evening inside my den; which is not well lit. So the darkness is a bit exaggerated.
Here are some pics i took today outside. Unfortunately, these are still in the shade. I won't be able to take any pics in the sun until I get them mounted next week some time.
