There are a couple of YouTubers that had tunes and mods on the F8x and spun, the dealer took care of it under warranty. Two that come to mind; Blakes Garage and ArianM3.
If it's a simple re-time and no major broken parts, I don't think the dealer would have any problems with it but definitely YMMV.
