It was most definitely not left outside with top down... That said, are you really suggesting that a convertible can't sit outside in the sun with the top down?? Come on, it's a convertible and that's what people actually do with them. I will probably never leave the car alone for more than a couple seconds with the top down, but to each their own.
The car is at the dealer currently getting the trim piece replaced under warranty. Hopefully I'll get it back tomorrow before weather gets worse again.
