Yes sir! 100% true.
Previously you could change the Carplay_Fullscreen parameter to aktiv on firmware versions NBT_EVO_N or newer but it still required Patching.
However latest firmware NBTEVO_X now allows you to just simply change the Carplay_Fullscreen parameter to Aktiv and doesn't require Patching.
