You just plug in your car to your laptop via OBD port and use TeamViewer to let them flash the update remotely. Takes about 1 hour. Apple CarPlay in full screen makes such a difference vs half screen. My car is a 2017 so I already had the wireless antenna and required no hardware upgrade. But that seems to be an easy fix as well if needed.
I also did the GTS flash (DCT, rear diff, steering and traction control). Recalibrates everything to M4 GTS specs. Just drove the car, I wish I had done this before. The most notable difference to me is in the transmission shifts. The car just feels more responsive. Definitely feels better than stock (zcp in my case).
Everything was very easy with clear instructions.
