Some questions have gone beyond parody.

Media only get a few minutes with each rep and there is an advisor to make sure future product plans are not revealed, so they cannot answer every question.

1) When will a comp package be available
Not at launch.
2) When will euro delivery start for US
Summer 2014.
3) Base price with option list, fuel economy and full specs
Revealed at launch.
4) True car weight with steel brakes
Revealed at launch.
5) Will the U.S. every see a limited edition track/ltw model. These build the brand even if sold in small numbers.
Special edition performance models are determined on federalisation and customer demand , federalisation on a model could be too expensive to implement. But this is early days such a car would not be seen until 2016 at the latest.
6) Why can someone not remove items like stereo, air conditioning, power seats as options to remove weight.
American customers want and demand luxuries.
7) Is a sunroof an option
A sunroof is available if you do want one.
8) Did/have you experimented with a V8 in the M3/4
The purpose of new lightweight technology is too look at the outgoing car and see what can be changed for the incoming car. The new engine contributes to a lighter yet more powerful car .
9) What were additional items you looked at to remove weight? From the pictures I see the exhaust if quite portly and could save a few pounds.
If there is room to progress for further higher performance you cannot show all your cards on one go.
10) Will be see a M4GC
A decision will taken on Gran Coupe in the same way BMW can co-exist the M5 and Gran Coupe . Around two years of the on sale date of the M3 Sedan.
Gran Coupe is a new model and BMW have to establish the standard Gran Coupe before committing.

Here's some general feedback from M3post enthusiasts
1) Need additional body colors
The palette for M3 and M4 is shown but BMW Individual is available at extra cost.
2) Non LED tail lights as a 2015 model is a joke, as is keyless entry and back-up camera's
Not all M customers are bothered by these details for some Performance and dynamics register more. Which is why details out weight the latter on a relevant Audi. In Europe BMW still have to sell customers base 420d models even with Halogen lights. Not all customers are concerned. They are happy they get a BMW.

3) M3 looks meaner than the M4, need to widen the rear fenders on the M4 and give it more curves for an aggressive stance.
The standard 4er Coupe is much wider than the standard 3er. Because of the wider track of the M cars the Coupe only requires a minimal increase in width.
The M3 is more pronounced because they have to expand the arches to accommodate the wider track.

4) Hood line only looks good in dark colors because its hidden - need more dark colors
There are dark colors in the M3 and M4 palette. But the Individual options are available at extra choice.

5) Wheel choice is ho-hum
The available options reflect the performance nature of the new cars with adequate size for grip and performance. Optional wheels will be available from M Performance and BMW winter accessories.
