A couple months ago my car started blowing white smoke when it was hot and I got into boost. While this was happening the car was burning a heavy amount of oil even for an M car.
No codes were being thrown.
I assumed journal bearing at the time but then the car stoped blowing smoke almost as quickly as it started and oil consumption normalized.
Today I got under my car to install my new Turner skid plate and VTT CBC and noticed this oily mess on my turbo. There is heavy oil buildup on the body and near all of the oil ports.
There doesn't seem to be oil buildup on the downpipe side however that most likely flashed off.
For those of you who are more turbo savvy than me would you assume I blew out my journal bearing seal?
Car has 50,000kms
