The spirit of your post is quite good and a reminder that you can find M3's not much above invoice if you shop around - but don't be disappointed if it does take quite a while for your ordered car to be delivered depending on the options you choose.

I think this should be all the more reason for folks to consider euro delivery. If you can find a dealer with an allocation, you should consider it. BMW pays for the trip effectively and they will grant you the production slot/date you so desire.
I ordered mine a few weeks ago for June pick up, got the date I wanted and plan to have the time of my life driving it throughout Europe.
