It depends on what you use to measure - US on sale dates do not register in the length of time. The F10 was introduced in November 2009 and went on sale early in 2010 ( for Europe) If we amount the time we get the adequate window for the mid-life refresh.
The 3er is selling too great to change anything now so a refresh will occur in mid-late 2015 with a possible introduction in the 3ers largest market Germany and the 2015 IAA. There won't be excessive or drastic changes , just a subtle re freshening. This will give the M3 its two years on the market.
