I stand corrected.
The M4 CP is actually around 30 sec slower than a Camaro. At least the GTS is only 12 sec slower, but my goodness, it's exclusive and special!

No replacement for displacement - the old rule still holds true. Only now the yanks have figured out the chassis, suspension and handling.
I still want a CS though.
