Yes, that's right. This is the Mercedes-AMG equivalent of the Audi S5 and BMW 440i MSport (to be called M440i when the next generation G22 arrives).
This forum often contains threads comparing the M4 to vehicles that are one rung down the ladder (or one rung up or otherwise not a direct competitor). A review dedicated to such a vehicle rather than comparison talk is a bit of an edge case, but its still fair game as far as I'm concerned.
