I think this is the bottom line. I'm not even following how the ball is in their court?

Assuming you have a car that doesn't work. They "A" don't ever have to fix your car. "B" if they've fixed your car and you refuse to pay, they don't have to return your car.

I can't imagine a single person giving all the bad press they can muster is even on the radar of most Auto Manufacturers.
