A single driver with stock/subtle drop on suspension will obviously have much more wiggle room than say a fully loaded setup with a full family.

15mm/12mm is a good conservative setup, 18mm/15mm is a bit more aggressive but should also be fine.
thanks for all your help. i do plan on lowering my M3 with H&R 435 sport springs and i think i'm going to try 18mm/15mm and see if there's any rubbing. if so, than i'll dial it back.
