Even RE-71Rs on my Miata are on dedicated track wheels and I only drive them on street on a way to track because like the you said you want to protect street tires, as well as I don't want to drive the RE-71Rs daily and wear/heat cycle them out.

You need to move your Miata to Re71r as the street / rain tire and Toyo RR as track tire
Speaking of RR, any insight as to why 275/35/18 toyo rr square is not a common setup discussed for f80?
They are consistent all the way to the cords in an SM (with of course a drop off after a few cycles)
