They're normally port-installed, which means they have to be added after production anyways. I don't think they do stuff like MPE/MPS/PPK at the factory, during/before production.

I hope the steering column is already pre-wired to accept the M performance steering wheel. I saw an installation video on youtube (for an M6 I think) that there is an extra wire to connect to the M performance steering wheel.
