Here at Sektion9 we thought it would be important to showcase to the community the Vorsteiner development process for sizing and creating the wheels offered on a new chassis like the F8x M3/M4.

As soon as the M4 arrived to Vorsteiner the wheel research began right alongside the carbon fiber aero development. Wheel research begins with the measurement of the stock OEM 19s in relation to the inner/outer fenders. The brake rotors and calipers are also assessed in relation to the stock wheels including caliper depth and location. The shock, spring location, and total suspension geometry are also measured to maximize the width and diameter of the sizes offered.

Alongside the wheel measurements, multiple tire sizes and manufacturers are tested to insure a perfect fitment for every customer depending on any tire choice. This whole research process makes sure without a doubt that the the full line of Vorsteiner wheels will be the perfect fitment and offset for the F8x M3 and M4 chassis.
