I brought up the issue during my last service visit (Crevier BMW, Nov 2019). The technician noted on the repair order: "clutch is operating normally". I disagree obviously.
My 2016 is still covered under the 4yr/50,000 maintenance plan (which covers the brakes and clutch), so I'm not sure why they're resistant to changing the clutch since it's covered under the 2016 plan.
I emailed BMW customer relations, and they called me pretty quickly (they left a voicemail). I'll be calling them tomorrow to explain the issue by phone. I might also ask them to read this thread so they know this is not a one-off issue only with my M car.
