They probably replaced the coils in the process of that diagnostic and just didn't bill them out for whatever reason.
If they initially suspected the coils and replaced them, then found that they were not the cause, they may have eaten the parts rather than return used ignition coils to their parts department.

Either way, that won't cause oil to leak into the plug bore. The oil seal (valve cover gaskets) are not disturbed when replacing coils or injectors. Yours are probably just leaking oil. Not a huge deal.
