It's LITERALLY a handful of cars over the last 5 years.
If you are going big power (nobody has ever proven that is even the case) and spending huge money to get there...might as well. If not...we'll that's up to you. But certainly don't lose sleep over this.

Realistically, driving these cars at the speeds I see on public roads by many poses a MUCH higher risk to the vehicle (and lives) of those said drivers. Humans are not very good at evaluating risk relativity.

That being said, I fixed mine because it seemed stupid to spend the money in Turbos, tune, meth etc for incrementally smaller gains and then not spend to fix the hub. YMMV

You hear more bad stuff than good on forums. However, based on several polls it still shows a very low probability of the crank hub issues even with "Stage 1" tune.
