My car spontaneously changes engine modes without driver input

When I start to accelerate, the modes change spontaneously - efficient, sport, sport+.

Has anyone else had such a problem?

What firmware version are you running? Tuned or stock?

Unless it's something you're doing to cause it without knowing, I'd get it to a BMW service department asap.

Not as bizarre as you may think. My 2016 M3 manual had a ghost in the machine. It would rev match in sport plus, would NOT rev match at times in efficient and sport. ALL completely random. The M buttons would not hold their settings from day one.

Now I have a 2017 comp pack manual car they has been flawless. There can be glitches in the computers
