I'm so screwed.
Okay. This is it, dealership told me I was moved too far down the line. I have a family, and I only have August to go to a totally crazy road trip without them, and the M4 will not be here till then apparently. Yes, it could work as the daily later, but I've been waiting for years for this, so I'm not going to take something awful for my holiday.
So, specs. Has to be available before August, Power, rwd, manual (this is the deal breaker), and I have eyes. I stood at the lot full of M5 and M6 models, and those are not the answer. I'm not old enough, and I want to have a fun car, not something to park at the spouses office lot. Sedan, Symphony, Ake, and the mean folk, go crazy. I'm desperate. Wah, STFU, you just make fun of me again. I'm not going anywhere for fun in that Audi. Last edited by Lups; 05-29-2014 at 03:07 AM.. |

Cheers Clan. I want to be told, that I don't give shit about driving a stripper (hihihii), less is more. I'm just now so on flipping edge now.
Land of cheap gas, almost free cars, and I end up driving an Audi. Life is too cruel. |

If manual is a must (excluding dual-clutch variants), I think all you have left is:
M3, S4 and CTS-V. Could pick up an E90 M3

LOL, I'm not gonna make fun of you. But damn... I can ask about that M4 hornet at my dealer. DCT FTW!! E92 M3 won't be so bad, but we all know you'll cry when you see an M4 drive by.

Manual. That's the main thing, and I think I'm not getting the M4, if not possible to get the other early slot at my dealer. I'm going to be so pissed, if after all this time and effort I'll end driving a Porsche. That will kill me. |

I have a month to just cruise around alone, and I made the spouse to get his leave for the M4's arrival. The thing is, that next summer I'm once again shopping for houses and other idiotic shit, so I really don't have the time then. I can't make the in laws change their plans to come here for August, and so on, so the timing is locked. I'm a bit now.

Hmmm, find a demo spec you like at the local £tealers and liberate it for a month You might need to leave a large bag of cash in a locker just incase.
Failing that though yes, you're in a spot of non BMW bother, pants!

Lease an F30 335i MSport 6MT in Estoril Blue. I am confident that this is the car that will tick the most boxes now that the F80 M3 is off the table.
Before you do that, though, try to track down an available F80 launch car somewhere with specs you can live with. |

Leasing is not an option, since I only get to keep it here for 1 year, and 6 months max. A good option anyway, but not insane one. Hey, see, I'm almost on topic today. I should get a medal for this!

I'm putting a call into my dealer. They got quite a few cars (8 M4s, 4 M3s) coming this summer, but I just don't know the specs. I get the feeling that they are all DCT, but who knows. I know for sure that they aren't all sold. I don't know how you feel about shipping a car across the country though.

Btw, I took once again the brave option, and didn't tell about this to the husband dearest. No way he actually realizes what I ordered in the first place, so if a porsche shows up, it's not like he's going to know the difference. I'm thinking I should council others in the matters of marriage. |

Did you see the part I added to my post after you had already started your reply? Why not try to track down a suitable F80 on a dealer's lot? Your post is indeed on topic for this forum - thank you for that. By the way, was your plan to try to import the US spec car back to your home country? Or are you going to sell it and take a huge loss? It seems to me that a lease with the plan to put it on swap-a-lease when you're ready to leave would actually be one of the best alternatives... |
