F82 M4 in Individual Macao Blue Metallic

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
// UPDATE WITH MINERAL GREY VS MACAO BLUE //

Went to the dealer today to take care of some warranty issues and I saw this.

Only saw the press photo for the 40th anniversary edition but not in person. Press pics - http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1141892

Under sunlight it has a bit of light purple hue to it.. I would say its a more subtle version of Champaign Quartz. (without the beige hue?) A bit of chameleon effect.

iPhone 6s picture so quality might be a bit sorry.. Not a lot of blue to it, but def there when you see the color transfer under and not under the light

Interesting choice to paint the front Space Gray and the rear blue. Very individual.

Gotta say for 5k

Not feeling it.. and doesn't look very special for an individual paint

I would like to see some pics out in the sun but personally

there are much better blues to choose

I'd Much rather go with Champagne Quartz for 1,900

Just doesn't look the same as the launch photos

I only notice its a special color the second time I walk past it, if Im not paying attention it looks like mineral grey. I would imagine if it gets darker it will have blue hue to it. but the reflection from the sunlight reveals purple hue

First few pics indeed looked close to Mineral Grey but other pics have what to my eye is a slight purplish hue (blue_grey) - have to agree with others in respect not being too wowed by this one - suspect in the outdoors the light may cause a more noticeable color variation.

PS: might be one of the few colors that Cohiba Brown individual leather might work with! - or maybe not enough contrast ...

That can NOT be Macau blue. It looks NOTHING like the other pics on the internet.

It is pinkish grey. Must be a mistake or misleading.

This color remind me of steel grey, from the e46 M prior to being replace by silver grey.

Here are comparison with close up flashlight hitting the surface of Mineral grey vs. Macao Blue. Macao Blue does have more purple hue to it, but VERY subtle...
According to one of the Genius over they he said its a "very smooth purple" under strong light.

Top: Macao Blue / Bottom: Mineral Grey

I think this one you have to see in the sun. These inside pics don't do it justice IMO.

Looks more like mineral gray meets lavender. The launch photo color was much better.
