how do i access "change the car options" menu from turn stalk

i just bought an 07 328. I want to activate the "auto lock" function, change my blinker to 3 blinks, etc.

I have read the manual and done searches and all say the same thing. Turn on car and flick turn stalk up and down to access service menu. When I do this, the car blinker just blinks.

what am i doing wrong.

You have to use the little 'knob' that is physically on the turn signal stalk. Don't move it like you're using the blinkers. It is just a flick knob next to the symbol that has R and L above each other with left and right arrows between them.

Make sure the car is on. It may be the other knob. I can't visualize in my head right now. But there is that "button" you can move up or down. I would reread the manual.

There's a button on the end of the stalk and an up/down rocker on the front face of the stalk. Use the rocker to scroll through menu items and push the button to pick one.

thanks...i don't know how i missed that....

has anyone done this....i set the blinkers to 3 blinks, but when i do a full turn, the blinkers don't turn off.....so i had to set back to 1 blink....

i like having a 3 blink quick lane change option, but like the regular full turn self cancelling blinkers

The 3-blink/1-blink option has no effect on the normal functioning of turn signals.
