MHD DCT Tune choice, CS or GTS

I have MHD and plan on flashing dct. Street use only, already installed Stage 1. Should I do cs or gts dct flash. I shift manually 99% with car in sport plus and dct set to 3 bars.

Thanks

Why don’t you try both and see which you prefer? Why do people think these forums are the answer to everything. Just try them both.

Because some people have tried both and can comment why they think one or the other is better. Also, if a majority say try x that at least is a good starting point.

Sorry to have upset you.

I would go GTS. Not upset but the best way you will learn your car and preferences is by trying it. Good luck!

Well I started with CS and will see how it feels and report back. Mostly want to reduce the surging at low speeds.

i tried GTS and switched back to CS. Don't recall exactly why, but it might have had something to do with trying to smooth out the throttle response in Sport and Sport+ modes. It didn't help.

Not sure about the MHD version, but it seems that optimal bm3 CS vs GTS DCT flash is dependent on vehicle model year and/ore software version.

For example - my MY16 F82 flashed to bm3 CS DCT is terrible; but, the GTS is amazingly better than stock.

Sorry to revive this, but I've just seen on MHD app that the GTS tune is no longer available. I was thinking to flash my DCT to GTS style.

Was it later discovered that CS style is better?

Anyone has experience with MHD DCT tune lately, how is it?

mjposner you haven't reported back ...
Did you try both?

When you say GTS tune do you mean engine tune or DCT flash?

From what I’ve read the GTS flash is superior to CS flash. I have a MY ‘16 with GTS flash since mid 2016. I can’t think of a thing I’d want changed in the GTS DCT software. CS could be better/different but the GTS DCT is perfect for me. BMW had to make the clutch preloads higher to manage the extra hp and torque which the CS DCT may not have. I’ve been tracking my car since 2016 and, like I’ve already said, GTS DCT is perfect for me.

GTS feels better to me than CS.

That being said, anyone know if the GTS DCT flash on BM3/MHD is the same as the GTS DCT flash you flash through ESYS?

It's not the OE file, if that's what you mean. It's a version engineered to behave the same.

I think here is the point. How it feels with CS or GTS software is a completely subjective matter. Some likes the CS and the other likes the GTS. Try them and you will know which one is right for you.
