Need help with mods!
So it is now approaching Christmas and my birthday( which is two days after) and that means new things for my car. Although I am only 17 my dad and I are big car guys. I have had some trouble thinking of some mods I would like to do but so far I have decide I want to get black grilles and the BMW performance exhaust. I currently have an 08 328i but doing everything I can to make it the dream 335i I love. I have been considering getting a matte black wrap or the car but I don\'t know the exact prices for that.
You guys got any ideas for me? I should be posting pictures soon |

Your grilles are a good start. What's your budget and goal (show or go)? Wrapping a car will cost upwards of $1,000, unless you DIY.

That's about all you are going to get out of an exhaust. You can spend $2,000 on Tune/Intake/Exhaust and maybe see +20 hp if you are lucky, unfortunatly there is not much in power mods for the 328i. Your best bet is to get some light wheels, good tires, and coilovers if you want better performance.

As Syndicategt said, there's only so much power you can get out of it. I would invest in some nice wheels and wrap the trip in carbon fiber. Why do you want the BMW exhaust? I'm sure there are aftermarket ones that are cheaper and some might even sound better. Warranty? |

Who does full exterior wraps for 'upwards' of $1000?

If you are on a tight budget;
Mod Bargains is selling a "new" CSL style wheel that weighs only 21 lbs. It's rotory "forged" similar to most BBS wheels. http://www.**********s.com/Sportline...Wheels-BMW.htm You can alsy check out APEX's, they might a very strong lightweight rim. You can find lots of options in the Wheel Vendor section, just beware of cast replicas. Show me a quality job (including door linings), including materials, done for less. Materials = $300 or more and expect 4-8 hours of labor = ($100/hr). Like I said, you can DIY to save some cash. Most of the jobs I've seen on this forum were over that figure.

No offense, but since you have a 328i, you're going to come very short of your dream 335i. As far as your budget goes, the BMW PE Exhaust will take up roughly half of it. Here are the OEM Performance Grilles you're looking for.
+1 on Syndicategt's suggestion of **********s though. You should be able to find what you're looking for within or around your budget on there. |

YOU'RE the one that is misinforming the OP and anyone else when YOU said a full wrap will cost 'upwards of $1000' and after making that ill advised statement you ask ME to provide proof!?!? ROFLMAO I have something planned that I expect it to take about 4 hours, BUT that's with 5-6 installers at once. Regular times are around 10-12 hours with 2 people and twice as long doing it solo. 4-8 hours? ROFLMAO x2

CONDOM For My Car** Ice Blue Photoshoot** wrapped in "Ice Blue vinyl"
This is a wrap job on a forum member's car, by a forum member. That price is discounted, and it's almost half of your budget. That doesn't add any performance though, OP. Last edited by Royal Flush; 10-26-2011 at 02:02 PM.. |
