Ticking noise in Suspension on m4cs
Hi guys, I recently got an m4CS 2019 and the previous owner had it lowered on Eibach Springs and Also has spacers. At slow speeds when I turn the wheel I hear a ticking noise. I did some research and some people say it's the friction disk plate or the bolts aren't torqued correctly. My car is still under warranty, would it be wise to take it to the dealer to get this looked at?

First off, congrats on picking up a great car!
As for the noise, if you're under warranty I would say it's a good idea to get it checked out however, the aftermarket springs might give the dealer enough reason to charge you for any suspension related repairs. I would try to find a mod friendly service advisor before strolling into the dealership. Either that or try to diagnose yourself if you're handy with tools. |

I have the same (possibly) ticking noise while turning at almost any speed. Gets louder when brakes and wheels are hot. Increases with speed. Splash shields removed and CCBs.
The issue EricP3 posted is not what I have. |

My guess is front wheel bearings. If the clicking increases and decreases with vehicle speed, then I’m 99% sure it’s the wheel bearings.

Bought my car with 12,000kms, and now the car sits at 20,000. Just replaced both front wheel bearings, but I have about 8 track days on the car.
Went with oem units from fcp euro, so next time they go it should be a very inexpensive repair. Also there is a great diy on the forums here which lays it all out and makes it an easy 4 hr job. My car would only make the noise when the car was turning. I found a big empty parking lot and drove in a tight circle. I noticed the clicking noise increased with speed. Good luck figuring out what’s up with your car. |

I honestly don't know bro , I put 30k on the car since I bought it and they have been hard miles too. I mean for me I am at 58k miles so it was just one thing that needed to be replaced .

Thanks. I have seen this and others. He really slops that stuff on! It will propagate all over in his method.
This is definitely not my problem. I do not have this issue. My clicking is when the car is rolling and the steering wheel is and/or is not moving. As if there is something stuck in my tire tread and it meets the ground each revolution and you can hear it. And no, there aren't any objects in the tire(s) and it can be heard on each side. It could be a bearing but just never heard that sound be a bearing. It is similar to this. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/1bm22gLtrFQ Thinking this may be the "fix"? adhesive and friction disk. Not replacing the pinch or strut top bolts. I do have Carbon brakes but friction disk...I do have spacers. That could be an issue. |
