P131401 Vanos outlet cold start

This code popped up on my 2015 M4 32k miles Bm3 Stage 1 . No hard pulls or pulls of any kind driving in efficient mode before this occurred. Started it and threw a drivetrain malfunction and misfiring. Immediately shut the car off. Checked codes and found these. Cleared them and reset all adaptations. Car has no codes drives normal now goes into boost and pulls hard. Any Idea why this popped up? Was it just a random fault like some of these cars get for no reason or should I be thinking about replacing a vanos solonoid . Any insight would be appreciated!!

I think you need a new VANOS Solenoid on the exhaust side soon.
