Question Looking for a "mild" power upgrade for my M4 any recommendations?

I want a stable upgrade that just gives that little extra punch to the car.
An upgrade that is not overly stressful to the engine and gearbox. If the program make better gas milage when coasting that is just the frosting of the cake.
I might add a SNOW Performance system as well just to be nice to the engine and keep down the temperatures.
- So what do You guys recommend. it is ok for vendors/companies to reply as well.

I have a stage one Burger tuning and it's perfect. That's one best option you can have for the price and installing is easy if you read the manual right.

How "much" is gained with better downpipes? Can You actually feel it or is it just a small number on the dyno?

BMS Stage1 is probably your best bet in terms of simplicity of install and set and forget nature.

All really depends on if you are planning anything down the road. If you are the full JB4 may be your best bet as you can run it on map1/stage1 settings and if you get other stuff you can change the maps. The JB4 also offers you the CAN features like exhaust flapper, etc. (Not sure stuff like that is important to you)

Get a stage 1 tune.

BMS stage 1 is the most popular because it is very easy to install + gives you instant power. It is also offered at an unbeatable price . You can get the BMS data cable for more control over boost

Active Autowerke tune is also a very good option. It has 9 maps, waterproof box and controls boost by RPM ( for a smoother power delivery).

BMS Stage 1 sounds exactly what you are looking for. I have had mine for 4 months. Love it.

One warning, however: It's hard to stop once you get a taste of more power.
I SWORE that the Stage 1 would be enough and that I would never need/want more. Well guess what, just ordered catless downpipes and a full JB4. doh!

Your JB4 is already on its way

Ya power is pretty addictive. Put up a review for us once yo get some seat time with the JB4. I am sure a lot of members would love to hear some comparisons between the stage1 and the JB4!

Flash tune imo would be a set it and forget it, no cel, no problems, no speed limiter, and capability to add downpipes with no cel as well

Once you add DP, you will need another map to take full advantage of your mods.

With a Jb4 you set it to map 1 and forget it. If you add DP, you just change to map 2 ( takes 5 seconds and can be done from home for free)

Jb4 without a doubt, it's worth it for the support alone

Until obd2 tuning available it's the best way to go

I've run on the track with the JB4 (map1) and it really does make a difference. You are right though the car is plenty fast for a track with tires needing an upgrade.
