I am sure those seats are a substantial weight savings. That will surely be used in their marketing efforts. In the current M3, Pole Positions save 40lbs per seat.

Both cars are right-hand-drive and it seems like they have the same number plate ... how great is the possibility that the only spied F80 with this camoflage status are all right-hand drive white cars. I think there is an much greater possiblity that in one case the color was simply misinterpretated!? |

I mean who's guilty of being lame, US Safety Regulations that says we can't have seats that don't conform to safety standards or BMW, who would like us to have those seats but can't because saftey regulations makes it too prohibitive? I think the M3 is shaping up rather nicely and the seats will be a definite plus but not a deal breaker. And if this is one approach to saving weight then so be it...you can't please everybody. |
