Hello this will serve as my build thread for my recently acquired 2018 M3. Below I will list the vin and what's currently done.
-Purchased Date 2/4/2023 -2018 Black Sapphire metallic | 25.7k Miles Current Mod list -Dinan Intakes -Dinan Heat Exchanger -H&R Lowering Springs -CF Front Lip -CF Rear Diffuser -CF Rear Extensions -Tuned David Shoup Youtube-https://www.youtube.com/@Sac_M3 Tiktok-https://www.tiktok.com/@sac_m3| Instagram-https://www.instagram.com/sac_m3/ Intro: Hello, my name is Phillip, also known as Sac_m3. I recently purchased my dream car, an F80 M3. I also own a 2010 E90 M3 that needs some tender loving care, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to own the F80. The car has only 26,000 miles on it, and I've already put almost 1,000 miles on it myself. In terms of BMW ownership, I've previously owned a 335, an E46 M3, an E90 M3, and now the F80. All of my cars have been black or dark blue. Although I initially wanted an individual color for the F80, the deal I got on it was too good to pass up. So for now, the car will remain in its current color. I may consider wrapping it in a future phase, but that decision will be made later. I plan to document my builds on YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram. I've broken the build down into phases, with only phase 1 planned so far. As I do more research, I'll update the thread with phases 2 and 3. Phase 1 Goal: Safety ,power , Aesthetic Phase 1 Plan: My plan for the car is to get spacers to improve its stance since it's already lowered. I'll also be adding CF side skirts to enhance its aesthetics. As for preventative maintenance, just like I did with the E90 and its rod bearings, I'll be replacing the crankhub as a precautionary measure. Eventually, I'd like to upgrade to twins, but for phase 1, I plan to upgrade the crankhub, followed by downpipes, and then get a retune. Phase 1: - [x] Crank hub SSR 4 Pin - [x] VSRF Down pipes Catless - [x] ReTune(Bm3) - [x] Side skirts Horizon motor sports - [x] Spacers 10mm Phase 2: - [x] Dinan Rear section - [x] Continental Extreme contact sports II - [x] Alter burble to be less annoying 3/7/2023 - Build update 1- 10mm Spacers for the front and rear SSR 4 Pin Crankhub and Horizon motorsport CF Sideskirts purchased. The spacers were put on and the car was dropped off to do the rest I should get it back Friday! 3/19/2023 - Build Update 2- I got the car back with the 4 pin crankhub installed. I went ahead and ordered VSRF downpipes. 4/5/2023 - Build Update 3- VSRF downpipes are now on the car. We are just waiting to get our BM3 license then we will flash the car to stage 2 which will finish up Phase 1 Last edited by SAC_M3; 04-05-2023 at 02:42 PM.. |

4/15/22-Build update:
Unfortunately I was rear ended today shortly after getting some rollers taken of the car. It’s currently at a BMW certified Colission center in Orlando. I’m waiting to get back the supplements but GEICO initially though the bumper would just require a respray so we will see what happens. 7/22/22-Build update: Professionally repaired. Although a bit of a poor experience at fields collision center Orlando FL. The vehicle was repaired & we are operational |

Dinan rear section has been put on Vehicle. We are entering phase 3 of the build! I will be dropping off the car for the following upgrades this weekend. Once the parts are on and the vehicle picked up we will begin working on data logging our e85 tune. The eventual plan is to dyno the car and see where we are at power wise! Enjoy some of the pictures below! Phase 3: [x]Vargas GC+ Turbos [x] Csf Top mount inner cooler [x] Eu5 Injectors [x] Performance HPFP [x] Stage 3 LPFP [x] Yellow charge pipes [x] Yellow J pipe |

The following items are in Vargas Gc+ Csf TMIC Eu5 injectors Precision Stage 3 LPFP Dorch HPFP The car is also being custom tuned by F80Paul I should get the car back today! Very excited! The oem inlet did not match up with the VTT inlet so a custom pipe was needed pictured below. That pipe will be powder coated yellow as well to match. The dinan intake on the passenger side had to be slightly shaved to allow everything to fit. Got the car back! Starting revisions! Goals are 67Tq/700Hp |
