All is well except...
So my GTS arrived yesterday via transport from NJ to Atlanta. As I'm sure is the case for everyone, I was so excited I took her for a drive after thoroughly checking the exterior.
Upon arriving home, I spent some time in the cockpit just checking things out. Everything was perfect until I got out and noticed the stitching had come loose on the driver's seat. The location is up near the left shoulder. Clearly disappointed, but I'm wondering if anyone else had this experience? |

There is clearly an issue with the leather stitching on the F8x platform. You're not the first one to complain but probably the earliest case since you just took delivery and it's already there! If you search the forum you'll find similar occurrences (2 that I know of)
PS> Obviously this is unacceptable and will be covered under warranty M

Guess it is a difference in language. To me, a handful of cars that have a stitching problem out of hundreds of thousands is not a real issue.

Are you serious? First of all..Out of hundreds of thousands? We're not talking mass produced 320i. We're talking M...Even more specific an M4 GTS. Obviously, this is not some sort of anomaly.
Hope BMW sends him a new seat and he keeps the old one...There's no excuse for this. |

Yes it appears to be a real issue, a real inconvenience but certainly not the end of the world, every once in a while an imperfection will surface and that is why we have a warrenty, I have no doubt BMW will correct this to your satisfaction. If every seat was like this and BMW did nothing, that would be the issue. So cheer up, the sky is not falling!

Next people will start talking about diminished value claims and demanding a new car like the rest of the loons.
