$88k with CCB. I think I am going to go all out. At the same time I keep telling myself to wait for CP. Hmmm, decisions decisions.

why? was the same way last time. not every wants the 19's, which have minor performance and comfort compromises. personally, I'm only gonna get the 19's if I get the CCB's (since you have to). otherwise, I'd much prefer the 18's.

EDC was a ~$1,000 option on the e90 as well

So the Sedan has the same 0-60 as the coupe? I would think sedan is heavier.

So E9x supposedly had the most powerful stereo with EPS in any BMW, now they only offer a Harmon Kardon system, but not the Bangun Olufson? Odd. I don't like either HK or BO. I'm warming up to EPS since the subs are breaking in.

I listened the Harman Kordon in a 335 today which is also $875 (which I'm guessing is what M3 will get) and it sounded much worse than the E9X M3's premium sound system which back then cost me $1,900. I know that EPS was built in house by ///M and it had sick equalizer and extremely high quality base, the harman kordon is nowhere near as good sounding. The sound system in M5, the Bangun Olufson is closer to the EPS quality.

It's not the same.

I heard the hk at the Houston auto show and it sounded fantastic. And looks great too.

The difference in weight of the base cars is like 20 lbs. or some really negligible amount.

I would confirm that because I just checked the pictures from Detroit and compared to what I saw today, they look identical to me and cost the same too.

Harman Kordon in F30 335 sounds pretty good for its price and it sounds a ton better than the stock sound system, but the M5's system sounds a lot better to my ears and its more closer to EPS my car has (M5's system is obviously a notch better).

Regardless, I hope you guys are right because I am getting Harman Kordon

Speaker placement will be identical.........the actual speakers, amplifiers, etc. can differ, and you wouldn't know that just by looking at the physical location.

Yes, I still sell harnesses.

The issue for me is the sound of the car, I still think it sounds like ass. I have 2.5 years left in my E92 I will see what the aftermarket will do as far as exhausts will procure.

BTW big guy...you still make your hifi harness?

Double this. The HK in the M4 in Houston sounded like the bees knees. Really enjoyed it.

Actually 51 lbs; not great but worth mentioning. Weight/power (lbs/hp) is 7.88 sedan vs 7.76 coupe. Coupe also has an advantage in aero (24.65 sf frontal area sedan vs 24.00 sf coupe), both with 0.34 Cd.

Thanks for that. I thought I remember reading that the sedan had the better aerodynamics!!??!

Look at the M3 and M4 in profile and you’ll notice that the trunklid stretches rearward and the integrated gurney flap is taller on the coupe. That serves to simultaneously reduce drag and lift on the rear axle. The sedan can get away with a smaller spoiler because its longer body creates a better aerodynamic baseline.

I guess the operative word is baseline.

I was really impressed with my '13 X5 M-Sport's stereo too. I think it was like 14 speakers or something.
