Committed F8X buyers, will it bother you if the W205 C63 makes over 500hp?
I'm just curious how important absolute power is to the average crowd here.
It seems that the new Benz C-class AMG will sport a TT V8. It's hard to imagine that they don't want to make a big deal about it and let it pump out above 500 hp. Will it bother you? I can start with saying, not one iota. I couldn't care if it pumps out 1500 hp. |

Given that the f8x will be even faster than the e9x that's a stunning amount of speed. For me I'm at the end of wanting even more power.

BMW timed the focus on weight instead of power well. I had hoped for more weight savings but I still prefer what they've done to a higher hp figure. |

BMW's base 3/4 series did not loose much weight, all the savings was on the M's.
So if MB reduces their AMG models by another ~170 lbs over the lighter new 2015 car... |

I took a test drive in a C63. The interior was fantastic. The engine noise wast great. I really loved it.
But... Overall... BMW beat it on handling. BMW is going to beat it on fuel economy. BMW is going to be better in its interior versus the E90. BMW has a manual or DCT. BMW is lighter. I have driven many cars. I have seem many horrible accidents occur around me. I'll take handling over power every time. |

Come on people, we always want more power. I bet that BMW could get another 100+ hp and tq from the new engine. If Cobb does ever break the ecu I will be modding the shit out of the f8x. However, for now I more than happy with the power delivery Bmw is predicting for the New M3/4.
